About Us

Nanango Christian Faith Centre, as a local, autonomous, Protestant & Reformed (Calvinistic) congregation, worshipping in Nanango since 1992,

has, by the grace of God, "ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ" (Acts 5:42), both to members & visitors, "publicly and from house to house" (Acts 20:20), as per the example of the apostle Paul,

maintaining that Scripture alone is the purpose and answer to all things in life and society, and the only life and help available to fallen man.

We are founded on Scripture Alone (not the traditions and doctrines of men) - the divine Truth of the God-inspired & God-preserved Words of Scripture, according to the Authorised / King James Bible, based on the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament & the Greek Received Text of the New Testament, rejecting the Alexandrian and Popish manuscripts which have been made popular since the Revision Committee of 1881 which has produced "Common Bibles" acceptable to both Catholics and modern 'Protestants'.

We believe in one Lord God Almighty (Father, Son & Holy Ghost), that Jesus Christ is Creator of all things visible and invisible (Colossians 1), that all men are fallen in Adam, and God’s elect are redeemed in Christ, by His one, perfect offering of Himself as our Substitute, to bear the wrath of God on behalf of His elect at Calvary, & that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, and all is to God’s glory alone.

 

We believe worship is a dedication of ourselves and all that God has given us, to His purposes and glory, is something that should be expressed in everything we do, and must be "in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24), that is, according to Scripture, not human innovation.

We believe that Church order & oversight is by plural male elders (including a duly called & appointed minister/pastor/teacher, who is responsible for the ministry of the Word of God & sound doctrine), & that male Deacons are to be appointed to help with administration, as per the Pastoral Epistles of Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12-14, 1 & 2 Timothy, Titus, 1 Peter 4 & 5.

We believe the identity of the Antichrist has been known by Bible-believing (Protestant) Churches for at least 1,700 years, was made known in all Churches during the Protestant Reformation of the 16th Century, as "that man of sin" (2 Thessalonians 2:3), the "little horn" (Daniel 7), and that it is the responsibility of Churches to teach this fundamental doctrine as a basis for fruitful Christian living today.

Hence you can hardly be for Christ without being against Antichrist.

We believe in the Absolute Sovereignty of God, that Christ rules from heaven over all creation, and has done so since His resurrection and ascension, as per Acts Ch. 1 & 2, & according to Psalm 2, & not only individual souls, but nations and kings are required to bow their knee to Christ now, or suffer His wrath, & that Christ shall return once at the end of the world to judge the quick and the dead, following one general resurrection.

Christ commissioned us to preach to "every creature" (Mark 16:15), for the salvation of those who have ears to hear, for the condemnation of those who don’t, & for a witness to Christ’s glory in all the world.

Our 'Reformed' faith & doctrine are generally according to the Westminster Confession of Faith 1646 & the London Baptist Confession 1689.
